Dee gave birth to 4 sons of her own but she was the mother to a countless number of sons and daughters. She considered herself blessed and humbled to be viewed in such a way by so many. Whether it was friends of her sons, students she met in the Beaver Falls schools, children she taught at the New Brighton Christian Assembly Pre-School, kids from IFCA church camp or just random folks she gathered in along the way; Dee made each person feel like they were the only one in the room.

"Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it...therefore, I run thus: not with uncertainity. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air."
